Stephen Thomas (Tom) Davenport, Jr.

Tom Davenport has been practicing employment and labor law for almost 40 years.  Tom received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1975 from the University of California at Berkeley.  In 1979, he graduated with a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Santa Clara, School of Law, where he was a finalist in the National Moot Court Competition.

Tom has an "AV Preeminent" rating – the highest professional rating awarded by the respected Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Service.  He has extensive experience litigating cases involving wrongful termination, employment discrimination, wage and hour, workplace safety (State and federal OSHA), and labor relations cases before State and federal trial and appellate courts, the National Labor Relations Board, the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the California Fair Employment and Housing Commission, State and federal OSHA, and in arbitration.  Tom has represented private employers in all aspects of employment and labor relations matters, including collective bargaining negotiations, grievance arbitration, and union organizing efforts.

Tom is admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of the State of California, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the Third Circuit and the District of Columbia Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Central and Eastern Districts of California.  He is a member of the State Bar of California (labor and employment law division) and the Contra Costa County Bar Association (labor and employment law division).
