Stephen Thomas (Tom) Davenport, Jr. received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1975 from the University of California at Berkeley.  In 1979, Mr. Davenport graduated with a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Santa Clara, School of Law, where he was a finalist in the National Moot Court Competition.

Mr. Davenport has an "AV" rating – the highest professional rating awarded by the respected Martindale-Hubbell Legal Directory.  He has extensive experience litigating labor relations, wrongful termination and employment discrimination cases before State and federal trial and appellate courts, the National Labor Relations Board, the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the California Fair Employment and Housing Commission, as well as other State and federal agencies.  Mr. Davenport has represented private employers in all aspects of employment and labor relations matters, including collective bargaining negotiations, grievance arbitration, and union organizing efforts.

Mr. Davenport is admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of the State of California, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Central and Eastern Districts of California.  He is a member of the State Bar of California (labor and employment law division) and the Contra Costa County Bar Association (labor and employment law division).
